Popular Afro-pop groups The Soil and Mafikizolo will get spirits soaring this weekend at the second annual Prime Weekend show in Johannesburg from March 11-12 at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena.
If you can’t get enough of the infectious sounds of The Soil and Mafikizolo or comedy kings, Tall-Ass Mo and Trevor Gumbi, prepare yourself for a scintillating weekend of live music and comedy.
In its second year running, “Prime Weekend”, will commence with Afro Soul, Hip Hop and House tunes from a host of a hot line-up of live performances from the award-winning The Soil, Mafikizolo, Black Motion and K2.
Reality TV star Thandi “Blue” Mbombo and Comedian Tumi Stopnonsense host the event on Friday with Tall-Ass Mo taking over on Saturday for the biggest gathering of stand- up comedy talent.
He will conclude the weekend with a comedy night that will feature a great mix of local favourites.
The hilarious lineup includes Pule Skhothane, Trevor Gumbi, Salesman, Thapelo Tips, Joey Rasdien, Mdu Ntuli, Dillan Oliphant Tumi Stopnonsense. timeslive.co.za
