Prophet Jay Israel
SOUTH Africa based Zimbabwean clergyman Prophet Jay Israel has caused waves in East London, South Africa after a video of his “miracle weight loss” went viral.
The 25 year old man of God is the founder of Spirit Life ministries. He relocated to South Africa two years ago and has set base in East London where he has become popular Christian community. In December last year , he was reported to have set East London on spiritual fire in what was was dubbed ‘the extreme prophetic invasion’.
“We glorify the name of Jesus Christ, for we are having a lot of blessings here and people are being delivered and healed. We are witnessing great miracles and the Holy Spirit is upon us as we minister greatly in word the teachings and we are winning many souls unto Christ Jesus.”
Prophet Jay Israel has one of the fastest growing ministries in East London. He is a spiritual son of the pioneering father of the modern day prophetic movement Uebert Angel.
His “weight loss” miracle has however been criticised by some sectors, Head fitness trainer at South Africa’s Hercules Bootcamp, Singwa Silinga said losing weight spontaneously was humanly impossible and fat could not just be prayed away.
However, Prophet Jay Israel said he will continue with doing the work of God and will not be deterred by “negative forces bent on discrediting his work and ministry”.
The youthful prophet said he was an ordinary person who was doing God’s work. He said God will continue to use him in many way that non-believers would not understand and would critise.
“I was fasting for 40 days and 40 nights. On the 34th or 35th day, I died completely. I was declared dead at one point believe me, you,” he said.
Prophet Jay Israel got his prophetic powers at a tender age of 19 in his hometown of Bulawayo. He then started his own ministry and toured the world before settling in South Africa.
