The flamboyant artiste has a combination of brains, talent and style.
SOUTH Africa based Zimbabwean artiste Ras Bledz (real name Blessing Makiwa ) has dropped a sizzling new Extended Play ( EP ) titled Chezider.The EP carries four tracks and they are inspired by real societal issues. The title track Chezider talks about a dysfunctional romantic relationship where the woman ditches her lover and flies out to a foreign country. It touches in heartbreaks.
Ras Bledz also dropped another hit titled Harare in which he reveals his nostalgic feeling and how he misses his hometown. In an interview the reggae artiste said he drew inspiration from his mother who he described as “a great singer both at church and at home”.
The flamboyant artiste grew up in the ghetto of Mufakose and Glen Norah before relocating to South Africa.
Asked to trace his musical journey, Ras Bledz said he cut his teeth in the industry back in 2005.
“I started music back in 2005 as a dee jay. I started recording in 2014 with a collabo with Nox Guni and Snagga Bounty. I also did collaboration with Trinta, Kulcha B, Luttan King, Slagga B and many more,” he said.
His perseverance has seen him sharing the stage with stars like Dr Oliver Mtukudzi, Jah Prayzah and Nox Guni.
He is bound to share the stage with Winky D on his forthcoming gig in South Africa. Ras Bledz owns his own record stable called Madiro Empire. However, to add versatility on his new EP he roped in Tyfa Guni from Ice and Roses studio to put his Midas touch. Lately, his videos have been receiving generous airplay on national television. At this rate, the youthful musician is destined for dizzy heights if fame does not distract him.
Ras Bledz is also a graduate in Machines hop engineering and working in South Africa on the engineering sector.
